At the foot of the cross

Lord, here I sit at the foot of your cross.

Oh how I long to be like you, have that love you give to everyone but that i fail at so many times.

I sit over looking my campus not wanting to give it up in the future of unknowns but Lord I give my worries to you knowing I did my best and that is what you require. Help me to enjoy my time here.

"The only thing that's good in me is Jesus" is playing in the background and o Lord, such a true statement. I am broken, aching, searching, wishing, wanting you to just take over but you chose to have it as a process.

I have this bland feeling in my heart but Lord I want you to fill it. Give me YOUR joy, YOUR peace, YOUR love, YOUR forgiveness, YOUR faithfulness, YOUR wisdom. Lord I poor out my heart and soul as your broken vessel. Work through me here and now.

Help me be con ten to you only. I don't need others to fill this place, I need to trust in you. You hold me in your nail scared hands, hugging me tightly saying you know me to my utmost being. "The beauty of the cross is that I free of letting go and your grace has found me just as I am" Thank you for your sacrifice.

Help me to get bubbly every time I think of you and hear about you. That a smile would cover my face and that I would be giddy in love with you. You won my heart Lord. Hold it, keep it, guard it, change it.

Thank you for listening as I poor out my heart at this cross, listening to the stillness of your voice, of this beautiful creation (even in California).

I love you Lord Jesus. Oh how I love you. Here I am, take me. . .

  1. Your heart is beautiful, Briana! I love you. This blog was beautiful too, even though (or maybe "especially because" would be a better word than "even though") it came from a place of brokenness and blahness. I love you so much, sister. YHWH loves you even more. <3 xox
