Oh Cali, my home away from home (besides Israel)
I had such an amazing time catching up with people, being able to look into their face and just focus on their lives. SO REFRESHING!
One of the highlights was going on a hike with 3 amazing girls that I got to know in Israel. It was so good being able to talk with them.
Then of course what is going to California without going to the beach? :) Kristi took me to Santa Monica Pier for the first time and it was so fun to be with her. She just gets me and I love it. As we were laying on our towels in the sunshine she said how she forgets there is an age difference and I totally do to. I'm thankful age doesn't matter!

Then of course I got to hang out with the most amazing IBEX group ever which was oh so good. It was so fun to be with them again, to just laugh and talk. Sadly I didn't get a picture with the group. We went to BJs for Pizookies, had a fun car ride there and back with a bunch of the girls (fun music and the windows down) and later we had a party at Chris' house where we all just sat and talked which was fun as well.
This is the only picture I got with one of my IBEXers. It was fun to hang out with Andrew and to catch up on life.
And of course I couldn't miss seeing Katie and Danny. Two great people who I love a lot.
Then, a couple weeks after I got back we had a big snow storm which was quite the experience. I was sent home from work around 1 and had to get out of the driveway which was covered with 6" of snow! That was quite the drive! The trees or power lines where the only ways of figuring out where the road was.
Once I got home I stayed there from Thursday to Monday and we didn't have electricity Friday to Monday. Let me tell you, not having electricity can sometimes make life seem so much easier! It was fun to spend time with my parents, to just stop and relax, and to listen the the T&L messages again and be able to discuss them with my parents.
I had to make a snow angel of course :)
Once that was over, back to work and planning for my DR trip!
